Scottish History Tour
Tours last for approximately 8-9 hours allowing you to maximise your time in the Highlands. Shorter tours can be organised on request should your cruise dock for less than 8 hours as can longer tours be organised should you wish to see more of Scotland.
We will depart from Invergordon’s Cruise Liner Port as close to 8am as possible, taking in the beautiful scenery of the Scottish Highlands. We like to pride ourselves on the fact we don't run to a set itinerary for the day. We have a number of highlights that we will recommend but you are in charge of the tour and you decide where to go. Naturally you will be able to stop for numerous picture opportunities and we will return to Invergordon's cruise liner port at whatever time suits you.

Culloden Battlefield
CULLODEN BATTLEFIELD EXHIBITION AND VISITOR CENTRE
"The course of British, European and world history was changed here at Culloden on 16 April 1746. It was here that the Jacobite army fought to reclaim the throne of Britain from the Hanoverians for a Stuart king. The British army was equally determined to stop this happening. The ferocious European war had come to Scotland - dividing families and setting clan against clan.
With the new visitor centre and exhibition now open there's so much more to experience at Culloden Battlefield." Culture 24.org

Fort George
FORT GEORGE
Fort George was Britain's strongest ever fortification - designed to halt any future Jacobite attempt on the throne. Completed in 1769, it used the very latest military architecture, and was intended to be the base for 2,000 men with large amounts of artillery. Its might was never put to the test and it stands today as one of the best preserved artillery fortresses of its period in the world. Run by Historic Scotland, it is also one of the biggest visitor attractions in the Highlands.

URQUHART CASTLE
"The castle is in the care of Historic Scotland and is consistently among their top ten most popular attractions."
"What really makes Urquhart Castle the definitive romantic ruin is the possibility that the 600 foot deep waters surrounding it on three sides may suddenly ripple, then part, as something completely unknown to science emerges to confound a sceptical world"

Dalmore
DALMORE DISTILLERY
"The Dalmore Distillery has been producing exceptional single malt whisky since 1839 and, for almost a century, was owned by the Clan Mackenzie. The clan’s defining influence on the distillery is still evident to this day, with the iconic royal stag’s antlers (taken from the Mackenzie family crest) adorning each and every bottle of The Dalmore.
Located on the northern shores of the Firth of Cromarty, deep in the spectacular Scottish Highlands, the distillery is perfectly placed to take advantage of a feast of natural resources: from the waters of Loch Morie to the golden barley of the rich coastal soils of the Black Isle." Dalmore.com
