tour Highlights

Urquhart Castle

The historic Urquhart Castle proudly sits on the shores of Loch Ness and draws crowds from all over the world. The present ruins date from the 13th to 16th centuries but some sources claim William the Lion had a royal castle at Urquhart in the 12th century.

Jacobite cruise on Loch Ness

Our Loch Ness cruises and tours will take you on a journey of discovery, as you soak up the scenery, historic monuments and intriguing tales surrounding our mysterious monster, ancient Urquhart Castle and the Caledonian Canal in the heart of Scotland's Great Glen. Tripadvisor has awarded Jacobite their 2015 Certificate of Excellence - there' s no better way to enjoy this experience than with Loch Ness by Jacobite.

Loch Ness

Loch Ness is a large, deep, freshwater Loch. Its surface is 16 metres (52 feet) above sea level. Loch Ness is best known for alleged sightings of the Loch Ness Monster also known as "Nessie". Loch Ness is simply overflowing with fascinating myths, turbulent history and tales of the legendary monster. No visit to the Scottish Highlands is complete without a tour of this world-famous landmark.

Inverness

The capital of the Highlands sits on the river ness and features excellent restaurants, walks and shopping opportunities. Inverness Castle sits proudly as the centrepiece of the Highland Capital unfortunately you can only view the castle from outside as it is the Sheriff's Court.

CULLODEN BATTLEFIELD

The final battle between the British Army and Jacobite forces took place on the moors of Culloden finally putting an end to the Scots bid for freedom.

The visitor centre and exhibition take you on a journey back in time and give you a real insight in to what happened all those years ago.

There's also a great example of a Thatch house which we rather like!

clava cairns

The real standing stones of Inverness are estimated to have been there since around 2000 BC. This bronze age burial cairn has gained a huge amount of interest following the Outlander books and Tv series. You will now find people from all over the world touching the largest stone and posing for pictures much like people do at the leaning tower of Pisa. Even if you're not an Outlander fan this place of tranquility has an amazing feel and is one of our favourite places to share with our guests.
