8am - Departure from the port. The drive to Urquhart Castle is very picturesque taking you through rolling hills and farmland. Along the way you will have an opportunity hear about the history of the area and find out a little more about your guide and their experiences of living in the Scottish Highlands.
9:15am - Arrive at the 14th-century Urquhart Castle ruins (entry included), magnificently situated right on the edge of the loch it is one of the most photographed scenes in Scotland. Enjoy a video presentation and an optional audio tour plus your guide will be there to answer any questions. You'll have time to explore the ruins and enjoy the magnificent views over Loch Ness. (Entrance included)
10:30am - 11:30am Cruise on Loch Ness from Urquhart Castle to Dochgarroch Locks on the Jacobite Rebel (entry included). A 60-minute cruise on the world famous loch is the best way to experience Loch Ness and the Great Glen. You will learn all about Nessie the Loch Ness Monster and hear about the history and geology of the fresh water lake. Loch Ness is surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains so sit back, enjoy the views and have your camera out just in case Nessie pops up to say hello. There's also a fully stocked bar and coffee service on board. (Entrance included)
11:45-1:15pm - Free time to wander around Inverness, capital of the Scottish Highlands featuring Inverness Castle, St Andrews Cathedral, The beautifully restored Town Hall and a number of places to grab a bite for lunch.
1:30-2:30pm - Culloden Battlefield visitor centre guests will have 1 hour to wander the visitor centre which includes a 360 degree immersive cinema experience. (Entrance included)
2:40-3pm - Clava Cairns standing stones are a huge draw for Outlander fans as the best examples of standing stones in the area. Even if you're not an Outlander fan which features a selection of standing stones and is an interesting example of a well preserved Bronze Age cemetery.
4pm - Arrive back at the port in Invergordon with plenty time to wander the town, check out the murals and maybe do some shopping for those who wish to do so.
