8am - Departure from the port. The drive to Urquhart Castle is very picturesque taking you through rolling hills and farmland. Along the way you will have an opportunity hear about the history of the area and find out a little more about your guide and their experiences of living in the Scottish Highlands.
Arrive at the 14th-century Urquhart Castle ruins (entry included), magnificently situated right on the edge of the loch it is one of the most photographed scenes in Scotland. Enjoy a video presentation and an optional audio tour plus your guide will be there to answer any questions. You'll have time to explore the ruins and enjoy the magnificent views over Loch Ness.
10:30am - 11:30am Cruise on Loch Ness from Urquhart Castle to Dochgarroch Locks on the Jacobite Rebel (entry included). A 60-minute cruise on the world famous loch is the best way to experience Loch Ness and the Great Glen. You will learn all about Nessie the Loch Ness Monster and hear about the history and geology of the fresh water lake. Loch Ness is surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains so sit back, enjoy the views and have your camera out just in case Nessie pops up to say hello. There's also a fully stocked bar and coffee service on board.
Arrive at Cawdor Castle where you will have time to peruse the castle, gardens and grounds. They also serve delicious food, teas, coffees and home baking.
Culloden Battlefield - Great place to grab a bite to eat, explore the visitor centre includes a 360 degree immersive cinema experience. For those who are interested your tour guide Fiona will also give a short walking tour on the battlefield. Whisky toast with live Gaelic singing with your guide Fiona.
Depart Culloden Battlefield taking a beautifully scenic route over the Black Isle and past the Cromarty Firth with opportunities to potentially see seals basking in the sunshine (depending on the tides and if the sun decides to come out).
4:30pm - Arrive back at the port in Invergordon with plenty time to wander the town, check out the murals and maybe do some shopping for those who wish to do so.
