8am - Departure from the port. The drive to Cawdor Castle is very picturesque taking you through rolling hills and farmland. Along the way you will have an opportunity hear about the history of the area and find out a little more about your guide and their experiences of living in the Scottish Highlands.
9-10:30am - Arrive at Cawdor Castle where you can peruse the castle, gardens and grounds. They also serve delicious food, teas, coffees and home baking. (Entrance included)
10:30am - The tour then winds its way through Inverness for views of the Castle, Town Hall, River Ness and St. Andrews Cathedral.
11:30am - You will board the Jacobite rebel from Dochgarroch Locks for a 60-minute cruise on the world famous loch to Urquhart Castle. This is truly the best way to experience Loch Ness and the Great Glen. You will learn all about Nessie the Loch Ness Monster and hear about the history and geology of the fresh water lake. Loch Ness is surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains so sit back, enjoy the views and have your camera out just in case Nessie pops up to say hello. There's also a fully stocked bar and coffee service on board. (Entrance included)
12:30-1:30pm - Arrive at the 14th-century Urquhart Castle ruins, magnificently situated right on the edge of the loch it is one of the most photographed scenes in Scotland. Enjoy a video presentation and an optional audio tour plus your guide will be there to answer any questions. You'll have time to explore the ruins and enjoy the magnificent views over the loch. (Entrance included)
2pm-2:15pm - There will be time for a quick photostop in Beauly which features a Valliscaulian priory established in the 13th century.
2:40-3:20pm - Last stop on the itinerary is the picturesque Rogie Falls, the perfect place to finish off your Scottish Highland tour.
4pm - Arrive back in Invergordon
